These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of https://solarroofingcontractors.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by X Enterprises, LLC, 18122 3rd Dr SE, Bothell, WA 98012 ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

What the Site is, and what it is not

The Site publishes general information about solar roofing and rooftop solar. We are not a contractor, roofer, solar installer, electrician, lender, broker, utility, tax adviser, or government agency. We do not offer, bid on, or perform any work. We do not refer, match, or connect anyone with a contractor, installer, or lender, we do not check or rate contractors, and we do not collect or sell anyone's information.

Important roofing and electrical safety notice

Roof work involves fall hazards, and solar systems involve high-voltage electrical equipment. Do not go on a roof or open electrical equipment based on anything on the Site. Use licensed or registered professionals as your state requires, and follow your local building and electrical codes and permits.

General information only; no tax, financial, legal, or engineering advice

Content on the Site is for general information. It is not tax, financial, legal, engineering, or other professional advice. We do not say that any system, product, contractor, financing offer, or incentive is right for you, and we do not estimate costs, savings, payback, or home value.

Tax credits and incentives

Where the Site describes a federal tax credit or other incentive, it does so as the law or the agency that runs it states it, for general information only. Tax law changes, and whether any credit or incentive applies to you depends on your situation. We do not say that you qualify for anything. Check IRS.gov or the agency that runs a program, and ask a tax professional.

Financing, leases, and contracts

The Site does not offer, arrange, or broker credit, leases, or power purchase agreements, and it does not state rates or terms. Read every contract and financing document before you sign, including the total cost, the annual percentage rate, any lien, and your right to cancel.

Contractor licensing

We do not license, register, verify, vet, or recommend contractors or installers. Verify any contractor's license or registration with your state yourself. In Washington, the Department of Labor & Industries offers a Verify tool.

We do not refer or collect leads

The Site has no forms. We do not refer, match, or connect you with anyone, and we do not receive referral fees from contractors, installers, or lenders.

Agencies, organizations, and sources

Government agencies and other organizations named on the Site, including the Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, are credited for their own guidance. They do not endorse the Site, and the Site is not part of any government program.

The Site name

"Solar Roofing Contractors" is the name of the Site. We are not a contractor, and the name is not an offer to do any work or a claim that we represent, list, or recommend any contractor. We do not undertake, offer to undertake, or submit bids for any construction, roofing, solar, or electrical work, so we do not act as a contractor under Washington's contractor registration law (chapter 18.27 RCW) or any similar law.

Brand names and trademarks

Brand, product, program, and organization names mentioned on the Site belong to their owners. We use them only to credit their own guidance or to describe facts. The Site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any brand or organization it mentions.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, ANY PURCHASE FROM A THIRD PARTY, OR ANY CONTRACTOR, INSTALLATION, ROOFING, FINANCING, OR TAX DECISION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.

Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

Dispute resolution; binding arbitration; class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. Except for small-claims matters and claims for injunctive relief over intellectual property, any dispute about these Terms or the Site will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration will be King County, Washington, unless you and we agree otherwise. You and we waive any right to a jury trial and to take part in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim must proceed in court and not in arbitration.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the arbitration section, exclusive venue for permitted court actions is the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, and you consent to jurisdiction there.

Assignment and change of operator

We may assign or transfer these Terms, and the Site, to a successor operator, including as part of a sale of the Site, without notice to you. After that, the successor operator takes our place under these Terms and may post its own terms. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms.

Miscellaneous

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
